Mr. Levy, Principal and Project Landscape Architect established Scott Alan Design Inc, .over 12 years ago, and holds a professional resume consisting of over 19 years experience in landscape architectural design and site planning. The firm has designed and managed projects ranging from residential, commercial and institutional developments to health care and educational facilities for the public and private sectors as well as providing consulting services to municipalities.
The success and achievements of Scott Alan Design have earned Mr. Levy the recognition of his colleagues and he currently serves as President of NJASLA (New Jersey Chapter, American Society of Landscape Architects).
The size and scope of the projects in which he is involved range from large scale master-planning to site specific and detailed designs that encompass parks and recreational facilities, single family and multi-residential developments, streetscape and urban plaza designs, master-planning of commercial and institutional facilities, health care and educational campus designs.
Mr. Levy’s range of experience covers all aspects of the profession which includes site analysis, preliminary, conceptual and detailed design phase development, full scope working drawing development and construction documentation, cost estimating, bidding, and specifications documents as well as construction observation services.
In addition, Mr. Levy currently serves as the Chairman of the Zoning Board for the Borough of Fair Lawn, New Jersey. He previously served as the Vice Chairman on the Planning Board for the Borough. He provides services as the professional Landscape Architect and offers expert testimony on various projects for municipalities within the New Jersey-New York area.
St. John’s Rotary at The Holland Tunnel, New York - The redesign of the rotary drive on the New York side of the Holland Tunnel includes a central berm area for the display of canopy trees, flowering shrub beds and seasonal planting displays. The outlying streetscape has been designed to provide plaza areas for the surrounding community.
Pascack Valley Hospital, Westwood, New Jersey - The design includes a park-like setting for the hospital’s exterior surroundings and an interior garden court with an interactive fountain feature, topiary as well as seasonal planting designs for the enjoyment of patient and staff.
St. Anne’s Church/Elementary School Facilities, Fair Lawn, New Jersey - A major renovation for the church and school grounds undertaken by the church and school administration. The project involves the redesign of the grounds from all asphalt and concrete to a more park-like setting with the creation of an outdoor plaza space, garden, playground and incorporation of walks and traffic calming street design.
